Bhubaneswar: Prof Jagneshwar Dandapat was on Tuesday appointed in-charge Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.

In November 2024, the then Governor and Chancellor of state public universities Raghubar Das had extended the tenure of vice-chancellors of Utkal University (Sabita Acharya), Ramadevi Women’s University (Aparajita Chowdhury) and Gangadhar Meher University( N Nagaraju) by another six months as a stop-gap measure. Their tenure was due to end in the last week of that month.
Earlier, Prof Chandi Charan Rath was appointed as in-charge VC of Ramadevi Women’s University.
