New Delhi: PUBG Corporation, the creator of the popular mobile game PUBG, is planning to launch a new game, PUBG Mobile India, specifically for the Indian players.
According to The News Minute, the company said that privacy and security of data of Indian players will be of top concern.
The company also assured that regular audits and verifications on the storage systems holding Indian users’ personal data will be done.
Furthermore, the game will be customized primarily for Indian players.
“The game will now be set in a virtual simulation training ground and new characters automatically starting clothed, and green hit effects to reflect the virtual nature of the game,” the report said.
To promote healthy playing habits amongst young players, the company will be including a feature to places restrictions on game time.
In September, the Union Government had banned nearly 118 mobile applications, including PUBG citing national security concerns.
KRAFTON, PUBG Corp’s parent company also plans to invest $100 million in India for improving the local video game, e-sports, entertainment, and IT industries.
The company will be creating an Indian subsidiary to boost communications and services with players.
The Indian company will be hiring over 100 employees, who specialize in business, e-sports, and game development.
“Thanks to overwhelming community enthusiasm for PUBG esports in India, the company also plans to make investments by hosting India-exclusive e-sports events, which will feature the biggest tournaments, the largest prize pools, and the best tournament productions,” said the company in a statement.
