New Delhi: Actor Akshay Kumar was among the first to pay tribute to the 40 CRPF jawans killed in Pulwama three years ago. It was one of the deadliest attacks on Indian security forces resulting in the death of 40 CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14. Among the several people who took to social media to pay their tributes to the brave hearts, Akshay Kumar penned an emotional note.
The actor took to Twitter and wrote, “My heartfelt tribute to all our brave soldiers who lost their lives on this day in Pulwama. We will always remain indebted to them and their families for their supreme sacrifice #PulwamaAttack (sic).”
On February 14, 2019, a Pakistan backed Jaishe-e Mohammad suicide bomber filled with explosives rammed a truck with the convoy of 2,500 CRPF personnel, travelling from Jammu to Srinagar, killing 40 of them. India Air Force retaliated on February 26 with multiple strikes at a Jaish-e- terror training camp in Pakistan’s Balakot, killing numerous terrorists and destroying their infrastructure.
