Puri: Suara Mahasuara, Pushpalaka, Bimana Badu Nijog servitors, who were engaged in the Rath Yatra event in Puri, will undergo COVID-19 test on Thursday
The test will be conducted at three places- Utkala Hindi Vidyapeeth, Bagidia Dharmasala, Markandeswar Sahi Girls High School in Puri.
Notably, vice-chairman of Jagannath Temple Managing Committee Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Wednesday said that around 2,500 sevayats will undergo a second round COVID test and only those who test negative for the virus will be allowed to take part in the return journey of the sibling deities.
Puri district, which remained a green zone till May, has witnessed a spike in COVID-19 cases, which now stands at 224.
