Puri: The sevayats of Jagannath Temple in Puri on Wednesday urged the temple administration to immediately announce the detailed arrangements for the ensuing Rath Yatra scheduled on June 23.
Talking to the mediapersons here, spokesperson of Daitapati Nijog Ganapati Dasmahapatra said that the Orissa High Court has left the decision on conducting the annual festival with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines with the state government. Therefore, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) should immediately convene a meeting with Chhattisha Nijog and decide the schedule for the rituals of Rath Yatra.
“People are apprehensive about the fate of this year’s Rath Yatra. Taking this into consideration, the temple administration should waste no time and announce the timing of the rituals,” he added.
