Hyderabad: With theatres having opened post COVID-19 pandemic, Indian cinema is going through a purple patch as film buffs seem to be in the mood to make up for lost time.
Just the other day, SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ crossed Rs 1000 crore earnings globally. Now, ‘KGF Chapter 2’ has entered the elite 1000-crore club.
Directed by Prashant Neel, the Yash-starrer sequel to the 2018 movie ‘KGF’ was released in multiple languages on April 14. In two-and-a-half weeks, the period action thriller has emulated ‘Dangal’, ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘RRR’ in collecting over Rs 1000 crore globally.
