Chennai: Sukumar’s Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule has become the fastest Rs 1,000 crore grosser in Indian cinema, accomplishing the feat in just six days.
“Pushpa 2 is now the FASTEST Indian film to achieve this HUMONGOUS milestone globally. Allu Arjun joins the elite club in style,” Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan posted on X.
The other movies in this elite group are Dangal (Rs 1970 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1814 crore), RRR (Rs 1230 crore), K.G.F: Chapter 2 (Rs.1208 crore), Jawan (Rs 1160 crore), Kalki 2898 (Rs 1060 crore) and Pathaan (Rs 1055 crore).
According to Sacnilk.com, the film has earned an impressive Rs 648 crore on the home turf, solidifying its position among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. It made history by crossing Rs 50 crore net in both Telugu and Hindi on its opening day (December 5) and has been enjoying a phenomenal run at the box office since then.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh mentioned that the Hindi version of the film is set to cross Rs 400 crore mark on Wednesday, becoming the fastest film to achieve this milestone. “Looking ahead, the absence of new releases this Friday is expected to fuel #Pushpa2’s extraordinary performance in *Weekend 2*, setting the stage for a majestic entry into the Rs 500 cr Club. Pushpa2 [Week 1] Thu 72 cr, Fri 59 cr, Sat 74 cr, Sun 86 cr, Mon 48 cr, Tue 36 cr,” he added.
According to film trade analyst Komal Nahta, the movie’s collections are now the highest at the Indian BO.
On the 6th day, Pushpa 2’s Telugu version earned Rs 11 crores. The Tamil version raked in Rs 2.5 crores, while Kannada earned Rs 0.4 crores. Malayalam also managed to collect just Rs 0.5 crores on Tuesday.
The makers are planning a third installation, Pushpa 3: The Rampage, as mentioned in the end of the film.
