Berhampur: Members of the Snake Helpline rescued an eight-ft long male python on the Fisheries College campus here Saturday evening.
Some hostellers spotted the reptile close to the pump house when they went to switch on motor to supply water to the overhead tank at 11 pm. They informed the Snake Helpline volunteers who reached the spot and rescued the python with the help of other inmates. Deba Prasad Rath, Sahil Matia, Radheshyam Das, Subhendu Behera and others helped the Helpline members who rescued the male python and released it to the nearest jungle.
