Lucknow: Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, BJP seems to be leaving no stone unturned to reach to garner maximum votes. In the latest, it has announced launch of ‘Quami Chaupal in Uttar Pradesh to woo the Muslim voters of the western part of the state, reported PTI.
The Quami Chaupals will be organised in more than 4,100 villages to discuss with Muslim voters on various schemes of the government, their concerns and various issues and problems faced by them. The campaign will start on February 10 from Kaserwa village in Muzaffarnagar district.
The Chaupals will be organised in 23 Muslim-dominated Lok Sabha constituencies of Western UP, including Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Kairana, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur, Bareilly, Agra and Aligarh.
The BJP’s Minority Morcha will depute Lok Sabha constituency-wise in charge of the chaupals which will either be organised in the madarsaas or homes of eminent persons of the village.
According to sources, while the party’s ongoing ‘Shukriya Modi Bhai Jaan’ programme is focused on Muslim women, the Quami Chaupals will focus on Mulsim men.
