Bhubaneswar: A quiz competition was held at Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and SUM Hospital here to mark World Health Day.
The team comprising Ishika Agrawal, Shivam and Jayant Kumar won the quiz, which was conceptualised by Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM). It was held in two phases — on either side of April 7 (World Health Day).
A total of 14 teams with three members each — all from IMS and SUM Hospital — participated in the event. The elimination round was held on April 3, after which four teams qualified for the finals.
Dr Bikash Chandra Nayak, Associate Professor, department of Community Medicine, donned the role of quiz master.
The finals, held on April 10, was attended by 30 faculty members and 250 medical students.
Medical Superintendent Prof. (Dr) Pusparaj Samantasinhar and Head of Department, Community Medicine Prof. (Dr) Sumitra Pattanaik inaugurated the event.
