R-Day Honours: 13 Odisha Cops To Receive President’s Medal

Bhubaneswar: As many as 13 policemen from Odisha will be conferred with the President’s Medal on the occasion of Republic Day on Tuesday.

As per a list released by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday, the following police personnel will receive the awards under the following categories.

President’s Police Medal For Distinguished Service
Radha Kishan Sharma, Director Intelligence, Intelligence Directorate, SIW Bhubaneswar.

Budhi Bahadur Thappa, Deputy Subedar, Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, Bhubaneswar

Police Medal For Meritorious Service
1. S Praveen Kumar, Inspector General Of Police (Law and Order)
2. Rabindra Kumar Das, Additional SP (Special Branch) Rourkela
3. Bhabani Shankar Mishra, Additional SP (SIW), Bhubaneswar
4. Ashok Kumar Dehury, Deputy Commandant, Biju Patnaik State Police Academy.
5. Prakash Chandra Pal, Assistant Commissioner Of Police, ACP Zone VI, Bhubaneswar
6. Manoranjan Satpathy, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Vigilance Directorate
7. Saroj Bhoi, Crime Havildar, Sundargarh
8. Seikh Nassiruddin, Driver Havildar, Vigilance Directorate
9. Gautam Patra, Constable, Sunabeda, Koraput
10. Hemant Bahadur Khatry Chhetry, Subedar OSAP Second Battalion, Jharsuguda
11. Budda Tamang, Deputy Commandant, SOG Bhubaneswar

Apart from this, six Fire Service personnel from Odisha will receive the medal under the following categories.

President’s Fire Service Medal For Meritorious Service
Sarat Chandra Mallick (Assistant Fire Officer)
Pradeep Kumar Pattanaik (Station Officer)
Prakash Chandra Behera (Leading Fireman)
Balabhadra Dehury (Driver Havildar)

Besides, the following prison personnel of the state will receive President’s Correctional Service Medal For Distinguished Service and President’s Correctional Service Medal For Meritorious Service.
