Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP on their imminent win in the 2019 elections.
He accepted the people’s decision and said, “The public has clearly given its decision. I had clearly said, ‘janta malik hai’.”
The BJP is expected to cross the 300 mark this time, a score bigger than 2014.
He added that the Congress party’s fight was ideologically-driven and asked the party workers to not be “afraid.”
Gandhi also congratulated Smriti Irani on winning the Amethi seat and said that he hoped that she will “lovingly serve” the people of the constituency.
