Bhubaneswar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi will preside over a meeting of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) presidents and opposition leaders in the state assemblies in New Delhi on Friday afternoon.
To attend the meeting, OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik and Leader of the Opposition Narasingh Mishra left for the national capital in the morning.
Talking to mediapersons here before leaving for New Delhi, he was told over the phone last night to attend the meeting.
Asked about the issues to be discussed at the meeting, Niranjan said the party supremo would review the status of the party in the states and discuss the strategy for the ensuing elections.
He further said that the restructuring of the Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress would be discussed at the meeting. “Since some Pradesh Mahila Congress member have not been included in the reconstituted OPCC team, the meeting will discuss their inclusion after the reconstitution of the Pradesh Mahila Congress,” he added.
