Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunder and lightning is likely to lash at least nine districts of Odisha on Sunday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning. Kataka city is also likely to be affected.
In a message issued at 12.30 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning of light to moderate rain with lightning and thunder for Kendujhar, Anugoual, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargada, Jagatsinghpur, Kataka (including Kataka city), Puri and Khordha during the next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
