Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued nowcast warning for 15 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city, till 5.15 pm on Friday.
Thunderstorm, lightning with gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph, and light to moderate rain is likely in Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Koenjhar, Balasore, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati and Nayagarh in the next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
