Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a nowcast warning for 16 districts of Odisha till 9.30 am.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely in some parts of Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city ), Jagatsinghp]ur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nuapada, Baragarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Kendrapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur and Bhadrak during the next one hour.

The MeT office warned about waterlogging in low-lying areas, occasional poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
