Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for 16 districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 10 pm on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower with lightning may occur at a few places in Ganjam, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar,) Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Bargarh and Angul in 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
In its midday bulletin, the IMD had earlier forecast heavy rain in some parts of the state for four days from Thursday.
