Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department on Thursday issued a nowcast warning for eight districts of Odisha till 5 pm.
Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning is likely in some parts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Cuttack (including Cuttack city) during the next three hours.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
