Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued yellow warning for 13 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, till 4.10 pm.
Light rain may occur in some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Ganjam, and Nayagarh in 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and act accordingly.
In morning bulletin, the weather agency had forecast light to moderate rainfall at a few places in coastal Odisha with possibility of isolated heavy rainfall on December 24-25 under the influence of the well-marked low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu coasts.
The system is likely to continue to move west-southwestwards and weaken gradually into a low-pressure area over the same region during next 24 hours, it added.
