Bhubaneswar: There will be light to moderate rainfall with thundershower and lightning at a few places in the five districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh and Angul on January 22 and 23 (Wednesday and Thursday), the Bhubaneswar Met Centre said on Sunday.
“After the rainfall, the night temperature in these districts and adjoining areas will fall for two days,” the Met Centre duty officer, Sudhakar Mallick, said.
Mallick informed that there are reports of dense fog in Chandbali, Paradip, Gopalpur, Bhawanipatna, Malkangiri and Daringibadi and very dense fog in Paradip and Gopalpur on Sunday morning.
He said that the dense fog situation will continue for at least a week due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over East Madhya Pradesh and the neighbourhood and a trough line extending from the above cyclonic circulation to north Chhattisgarh.
“We have issued a yellow warning for very dense fog at few places in the districts of Balangir, Kalahandi, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal and Koraput on January 20 (Monday) and Angul, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Koraput, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Sundargarh on January 21 (Tuesday),” he added.
