Rainy Week Ahead In Odisha: IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Thundershower, Hail; Check Forecast
Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rainfall is likely at many places in Odisha during January 11 to 14 due to an approaching Western Disturbance towards eastern India and moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the regional meteorological centre here said in a special bulletin issued at 1.30 pm on Sunday.
The rainfall may start from January 10 over some western Odisha districts. Isolated thunderstorm accompanied by hail and heavy rain is likely in some districts, it said.
Jan 10 (valid till 8.30 am): Light to moderate rain or thundershower at one or two places in Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh.
Jan 10 (8.30 am) to Jan 11 (8.30 am): Light to moderate rain or thundershower at a few places in Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Deogarh and at one or two places over districts of interior Odisha. Dry weather likely to prevail over coastal Odisha.
Jan 11 (8.30 am) to Jan 12 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower at many places over north interior Odisha, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh and at a few places over other districts.
Yellow warning: Thunderstorm accompanied by hail likely at one or two places over Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Deogarh.
Jan 12 (8.30 am) to Jan 13 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely at many places.
Yellow warning: Thunderstorm accompanied by hail and heavy rainfall likely at one or two places over Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Nayagarh.
Jan 13 (8.30 am) to Jan 14 (8.30 am): Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places.
Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall likely at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh and Kandhamal.
