Raipur-Vizag Expressway: NHAI Sanctions Rs 1265 Cr For Baunsaguar-Baraja Section In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has sanctioned Rs 1265.59 crore for six-laning of Baunsaguar-Baraja section of NH-130 under Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in a tweet said six-laning of Baunsaguar-Baraja section of NH-130-CD under Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor has been sanctioned in Odisha with a budget of Rs 1265.59 crore.
Earlier, the NHAI had sanctioned Rs 1,539 crore for Kaliagura-Baunsaguar stretch of the NH-130 that will run through Koraput and Nabarangpur districts of the state and intersect two existing highways near Kunduli and Kamara.
The project under Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I entails 6-laning of 465-km corridor at an estimated cost of Rs 20,000 crore. The corridor to be built in hybrid annuity mode will pass through Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh and is targeted to be completed by 2025.
Under the project, also known as Raipur-Vizag Expressway, 240 km will be built in Odisha with Rs 10,000 crore, 125 km in Chhattisgarh and 100 km in Andhra. The highway will have 124 km in Nabarangpur district and 116 km in Koraput.
