Jaipur: Most experts feel that coronavirus patients with severe symptoms could be adversely affected if Diwali is celebrated like normal years.
Even as some states mull steps to control pollution, Rajasthan has decided to ban sale and bursting of firecrackers keeping in mind patients infected by the deadly virus.
“State govt has taken the decision to ban the sale and bursting of firecrackers in order to protect health of #COVID19 infected patients & public from poisonous smoke emanating due to fireworks. In this challenging corona pandemic time, protecting lives of ppl is paramount for govt,” Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted on Monday.
