Rakesh Roshan Reveals Reason Behind Hrithik & Sussanne’s Divorce

Mumbai: Much-loved celebrity couple Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan had left fans heartbroken by announcing their separation in 2014.

However, the couple has never discussed the reason behind their divorce publicly.

After almost 11 years, Hrithik’s father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, in an interview with Yuvaa, revealed the reason behind the couple’s divorce.

Rakesh said that Hrithik and Sussanne fell out of love because of a misunderstanding and parted ways. However, Sussane will always be a part of their family.

“Whatever happened was between the couple. For me, Sussanne is still Sussanne. They were in love, they had a misunderstanding — that is for them to resolve. As for us, she came into our house as family, and she still remains a member of the family,” said Rakesh.

Asked if Hrithik shares about his love life with him, Rakesh said, “Hrithik and my daughter are a little scared of me. I don’t know, maybe because I am a well-disciplined man. I am not short-tempered, nor am I someone who scolds others, but I am very disciplined… When they were little, they wouldn’t talk to me openly. Now they do. Now, we are like friends at home.”

After dating for four years, Hrithik and Sussanne tied the knot in 2000. They have two sons named Hrehaan and Hridaan Roshan.

Despite parting ways, they still remain good friends and co-parent their children.

On the personal front, Sussanne is dating Arslan Goni, while Hrithik is seeing Saba Azad.
