Bhubaneswar: Senior leader Ramachandra Meher has been appointed as the new Sambalpur District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a significant organisational development for the party in western Odisha.
His elevation to the post has generated enthusiasm among party workers and supporters in the district. The announcement was made late Sunday night following approval from President of BJP’s Odisha unit Manmohan Samal. The party confirmed the appointment through an official press release, which was warmly received by local cadres.
The announcement put an end to speculation surrounding district leadership of the ruling party in Odisha. Celebrations and congratulatory messages poured in from senior leaders, grassroots workers, and supporters, reflecting the importance of the role in strengthening BJP’s base in Sambalpur.
