Bhubaneswar: Students can now pursue PhD in Ramadevi Women’s University from 2020-21 academic year.
In the first phase, admissions will be open for 11 departments, those include Economics, English, Odia, Home Science, Education, Gender Studies, Commerce, Bio Technology, Computer Science, and Life Science, informed PG Council Chairman Prof Sashmita Mohanty. Speaking on the occasion of 6th Foundation Day celebration of the university on Thursday, she however said the number of seats in each department has not been decided yet.
Likewise, the university has introduced Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication for the first time. Admissions against 32 seats in MA-JMC have started, said Prof Mohanty and added that two lectures have been appointed.
As many as 64 Assistant Professors will be appointed soon in the university. The Higher Education department has given the responsibility to OPSC in this regard, said Prof Mohanty.
On the other hand, in Plus Three, admissions will be open for 48 honours seats in Education Department from this year.
