Cuttack: Odisha stormed into the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals after their ninth and last Elite Group-C match against Jharkhand ended in a draw on the fourth and final day at the Barabati Stadium here on Saturday.
After taking a first innings lead of 80 runs against the visitors, Odisha declared their second innings at 187 for 1 with captain Subhransu Senapati and Debasish Samantray remaining unbeaten on 100 and 64 runs respectively.
For his spectacular century (156) in the first innings, Debasish Samantray was adjudged the Man of the Match.
On the basis of the first-innings lead, Odisha bagged three points and secured the second position in Group-C with 38 points behind Jammu & Kashmir.
In the quarter-final, Odisha will meet West Bengal.
