Rashmika Mandanna Breaks Silence On ‘Banned From Kannada Industry’ Rumours

Mumbai: Trolls have often targeted actress Rashmika Mandanna for looking down upon Kannada film industry after finding work in Telugu and Hindi film industry.

Now, rumours claim that Rashmika has been banned by the Kannada producers.

Breaking her silence on ban rumours, Rashmika, who is currently promoting her upcoming film ‘Thamma’, smiled and said, “So far, I have not been banned. So, yeah…”

When asked if she has seen Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, the actress said, she saw the film recently and even congratulated the Kantara team.

“See, the thing is… I didn’t see the film in the first 2–3 days since its release. I didn’t see it right then, but I recently watched it and even texted the team. They even replied with a ‘Thank you’ response too,” Rashmika was quoted as saying by Good News Kannada.

While talking about the controversies around her personal and professional life, she added, “See, the world doesn’t know what is happening on the inside. Inside, God knows we can’t always put a camera on our personal lives. Also, we aren’t those people who share our messages online. So, what people say about a person’s life doesn’t matter. Now, what they say about our professional life, we’ll consider it and work on it.”

Stating that criticism often arises from misunderstanding or incomplete knowledge, she said, “One cannot live according to others’ opinions.”

On the personal front, the actress recently got engaged to beau Vijay Deverakonda. Vijay’s team also confirmed that the couple is planning to get married in February next year.

On the work front, Rashmika will be next seen in the romantic-horror comedy ‘Thamma’, along with Ayushmann Khurrana.

The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal, Sathyaraj, and Faisal Malik, with cameos by Varun Dhawan, Nora Fatehi, and Malaika Arora.
