Hyderabad: As actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda gear up for their much-awaited wedding, let’s revisit a memorable moment from 2018, when the duo first appeared together in ‘Geetha Govindam’ and their romantic chemistry sparked the first wave of dating rumours.
During the film’s success meet, Vijay’s mother Madhvi, asked about expectations from her future daughter-in-law, said she wants someone who can take good care of her son.
“Babu ni manchi ga chuskone kodalu vaste chalu (I only want a daughter-in-law who takes good care of my son). She should love him unconditionally. Since he is in the industry, she should also be understanding,” she said.
Vijay’s father Govardhan Rao too weighed in, sharing that he wanted his son to marry someone he truly loves.
He also said that he doesn’t care about caste or religion, and would be happy if the bride is preferably from South.

Vijay too had once admitted in an interview that he would opt for love marriage as he doesn’t believe in arranged marriage.
The much-loved celebrity couple is set to exchange wedding vows in Udaipur on February 26.
The couple is already in Udaipur for the pre-wedding festivities.
Following the intimate wedding in Udaipur, the couple will be hosting a grand reception in Hyderabad for friends from the industry.
