Bhubaneswar: Odisha lived up to their reputation of being one of the top states going into the inaugural 1st Khelo India Water Sports Festival.
As the curtains came down on the water sports meet at Srinagar’s Dal Lake on Saturday, Odisha finished second with 4 gold, 5 silver and a bronze for a total haul of 10 medals. Madhya Pradesh emerged on top with 18 medals (10 gold, 3 silver & 5 bronze).

Odisha athletes claimed two gold medals on the final day.
The quartet of Bidya Devi, Shruti Chougule, K Yaiphatombi Devi and L Sonia Devi rowed their way to first place in the K4W-500m event.
Earlier in the day, Rasmita Sahoo and Achoibam Sanatombi Devi struck gold in the C2W-500m race.
It was Rasmita’s second gold of the meet. She had reigned supreme in the individual C1W-200m event on Thursday.
Odisha;s fourth gold medal came through Aviraj, who triumphed in Men’s Single Scull (M1X).
