Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday received a bomb threat email in Russian. According to reports, the threat mail targeted Governor Sanjay Malhotra’s official ID. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
Mumbai Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
This is the second such incident within a month.
Last month, a bomb threat was received by the RBI’s customer care. During that call, the person, who claimed to be the “CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba,” allegedly sang a song before issuing the threat.
