Bhopal: A popular 16-year-old YouTuber from Maharashtra’s Aurangabad, who ran away from home after being scolded by her father, was found in a train compartment at Itarsi station in Madhya Pradesh, informed police.
Kavya’s YouTube channel ‘Bindass Kavya’ has over 44 lakh subscribers, and is managed by her mother. Upset after being shouted at, Kavya left home without informing anyone in the family.
After she went missing, Kavya’s worried parents live-streamed their anxiety and appealed viewers to help them find her.
“We have been looking for her since last night… We have filed an FIR. If anyone sees her, please let us know,” her father said crying with his wife sitting next to him in a car, in a YouTube live video posted on Bindass Kavya channel. The video clocked 38 lakh views.
Her parents lodged a missing complaint at Aurangabad police station, and her photograph was sent out to police stations.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) intensified checking in trains, PTI reported.
Railway police found her in a sleeper coach on Kushinagar Express, and informed Aurangabad police as well as Kavya’s parents.
On way to pick her up from Itarsi, Kavya’s parents once again took to YouTube to inform viewers that she has been found.
“Kavya has been found. She was on her way to our village in Lucknow,” her father said during the live stream, which has been viewed more than 35 lakh times.
