Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Monday saw the highest single-day recovery of 1,119 COVID-19 patients, which took the cured tally to 23,073.
The highest of 354 recoveries were reported from Ganjam followed by 97 from Khurda, 83 from Gajapati and 70 from Jajpur.
The recoveries from other districts are as follows:

35 from Rayagada
31 from Puri
30 from Balasore
29 from Mayurbhanj
28 from Bhadrak
27 from Jagatsinghpur

16 from Balangir
16 from Sambalpur
15 from Malkangiri
12 from Nabarangpur
11 from Kendrapada
5 each from Angul and Koraput
4 from Bargarh
3 from Sonepur
1 from Jharsuguda
While the Health Department tweeted about 97 more infected people recovering in Khurda district, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) put the new recoveries in its area, which falls within the district, at 107 in a tweet on Sunday.
Speaking to Odisha Bytes, BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said that the cured data provided by the civic body includes recoveries from Sunday till the evening of Monday. “The difference in the data provided by the department and the BMC is due to the time lag,” he added.

A similar discrepancy was also seen with regards to Cuttack. While the department mentioned about 50 more patients recovering from the infection for the entire district of Cuttack, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation tweeted about 69 recoveries for the city alone on Sunday.
