Bhubaneswar: Myntra is on a mission of generating ‘blushy’ surprises. Users have reported receiving a push notification from Myntra app stating “Your order is dispatched! Red lacy lingerie is on its way”, only to realise that it is an April Fool’s day prank.
“Three other people in my office, including two guys, go the exact same notification,” said Anubhuti Mishra, an advocate in New Delhi.
Myntra is not the only company to pull off such marketing gimmicks. OnePlus, the popular smartphone maker, released a photo of an electric car under wraps stating it would be their next product.
Home-grown taxi aggregator Ola too slyly announced “Ola Restrooms”. Last year, the company had fooled many by announcing helicopter rides on their app.
