Bhubaneswar: Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Sulochana Das inaugurated ‘Rehabscape’, a therapy and hearing solutions for special children as well as elderly in the city on Sunday.
The rehabilitation centre, located at Tankapani Road, was founded as a start-up by Bagmi Biswal a social worker and entrepreneur and senior audiologist Dr Krushnendu Sundar Sahoo. It is equipped with modern equipment and experienced therapists.
The one-stop centre offers solutions for special children for autism, down syndrome, ADHD, MR, CP, Hearing Impairment, speech and language delay, voice problem, stuttering etc. It is fully equipped to provide wide range of therapeutic solutions including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy along with catering to the special education needs for special children.
Ollywood star Sabyasachi Mishra, who was present on the occasion, gave away a digital hearing aid device to Aryan Thakur, a Plus II science student of BJB (Autonomous) College, who hails from a poor family in Uttara, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
