Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday unearthed assets worth crores of rupee during simultaneous searches at seven locations linked to Remuna Tehsildar Bidyadhar Pati on allegation of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to a Vigilance release, three high-value flats (2 flats worth Rs 2.5 crore in Bhubaneswar and one in Balasore), 2 plots and gold weighing 917 grams have been detected. Postal deposits worth Rs 1 crore and cash transactions of around Rs 20 lakh in postal accounts are being verified, it added.
The raids were carried out by the anti-corruption agency led by six DSsP, three Inspectors, ten ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
Searches were conducted at seven places in Bhubaneswar and Balasore:
(1) Flat No. C604 at Tamarin Terraces, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
(2) Flat No. B40406 (3BHK Executive) at Asotech Pride, Rudrapur, Bhubaneswar.
(3) Double storeyed building located at Kuruda under Sadar police limits in Balasore.
(4) Paternal house of Pati at Ainri, under Sadar police limits in Balasore.
(5) Office chamber of Pati at Remuna, Balasore.
(6) Place of stay of Bidyadhar Pati at Balasore.
(7) House of a relative at Plot No.625 Mars Villa, HN-7, Panchasakha Nagar, Dumduma, Bhubaneswar.
Assets detected in the name of Pati and his family members are as follows:
>> 3-BHK Executive Flat at Assotech Pride, Rudrapur, Bhubaneswar, worth Rs 1.5 crore.
>> 3-BHK Flat at Tamarind Terraces, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar, worth Rs 1 crore.
>> 3-BHK flat, B-Block at Supratik Life Style, Kuruda, Balasore.
>> 2 plots in Bhubaneswar & Balasore.
>> Gold jewellery weighing 917 grams.
>> Rs 22 lakh bank deposits.
>> 1 four-wheeler (Hyundai i-20) & 2 two-wheelers.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the flat/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. Other deposits and investments are being ascertained, it added.
