Mumbai: After the Supreme Court on Wednesday directed a CBI probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, netizens started demanding the resignation of Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.
The public perception is that the Mumbai Police termed Sushant’s death as a ‘suicide’ without carrying out a proper investigation.
Param Bir, during a press conference, had even come out in support of Rhea Chakraborty, an accused in the case, by stating that she was mentally disturbed after handling a mentally ill boyfriend (Sushant).
Moreover, Mumbai police didn’t cooperate with Bihar police, who had been in the city to investigate the case after Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR in Patna, citing jurisdiction rights.
However, after the Supreme Court’s decision, netizens have been trolling the Mumbai Police Commissioner on social media platforms and asked him to resign for not handling the Sushant case properly.

Mumbai police will now be handing over all documents related to the Sushant case to the CBI.
According to a report in DNA, the CBI team will be reaching Mumbai by 7 pm on Thursday.
