Puri: In view of rising COVID-19 cases, the Puri administration on Tuesday extended the restrictions on cremation of dead bodies from outside the district at Swargadwara in the town for a month.
Puri Collector Balwant Singh said that the people of the district, however, can cremate bodies at Swargadwar by strictly adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.
The administration had also banned from immersing ashes in Puri sea.
