Rourkela: A young girl from the Steel City is the latest to become a victim of revenge porn. The youth accused of posting her obscene pictures on social media has been arrested.
He has been identified as Amanjit Sharma, a native of Munger in Bihar.
According to sources, the youth and the girl got into a relationship after a chance encounter on social media. However, the girl married someone else two months ago. Unable to accept this reality, a vindictive Amanjit created a fake ID on Facebook and posted some obscene pictures of the girl.
The girl lodged a complaint with Rourkela Cyber police after the pictures went viral. Following which, police launched a manhunt and nabbed Amanjit from Bihar on Thursday. He was forwarded to court on Friday, the sources added.
