Rhea Being ‘Falsely Implicated’ In SSR Case, Claims Lawyer In Bail Plea
Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty, who is currently in judicial custody, has filed a bail application in the Mumbai Sessions court.
According to a Times Now report, the special court will be hearing Rhea and her brother Showik’s bail plea on Thursday.
The channel has accessed a copy of the bail application filed by Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshide.
He has claimed that Rhea is “innocent” and “has been falsely implicated” in the case”. “She has not committed any crime whatsoever.”
The lawyer also alleged that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is “spinning a false narrative in the case”.
Rhea was pressurised to give her statement to NCB, added the lawyer.
The NCB arrested Rhea on Tuesday for drug nexus in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Soon after her arrest, Rhea had filed a bail application before a Magistrates court on Tuesday. However, the court rejected her bail plea and sent her to 14-day judicial custody.
