Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty is back on Instagram after eight months.
The actress, who was arrested last year on drugs-related charges in connection with the inquiry into the death of his boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, dedicated the ‘comeback’ post to her mother Sandhya Chakraborty on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
“Happy Women’s Day to us ..Maa and me .. together forever … my strength, my faith, my fortitude – my Maa #love #faith #fortitude #strength #mother #womenwhoinspire #womenempowerment,” Rhea wrote along with a picture in which she is seen holding her mother’s hand.
Fashion and interior designer Sussanne Khan and singer, actress, model Shibani Dandekar showed appreciation with heart emojis.
Fans posted comments supporting Rhea, like “Happy Women’s Day Love.. you truly represent a beautiful & strong person that you are,” and “Take care Rhea, stay strong and never lose hope!”
She was also warmly welcomed back to Instagram.
Sushant’s family accused Rhea of abetting the actor’s suicide and also misappropriating his funds. The death of Sushant, who was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14 last year, is being investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate and Narcotics Control Bureau.
Both Rhea and brother Showik were arrested by NCB and released on bail a month and three months later, respectively.
