Mumbai: Revealing the reason behind actor Rhea Chakraborty’s exit from Sushant Singh Rajput’s life, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that five doctors had advised the latter to abstain from drugs because of his mental state, but he refused to do so, which made Rhea leave his house on June 8.
This was part of the statement issued by Maneshinde on the FIR filed by Rhea against Sushant’s sisters for allegedly giving him wrongfully-prescribed medicines despite being aware of his mental health condition, ZoomTV reported.
The wrongfully administered medicines may have caused and contributed in his suicidal death, the police had said in the affidavit.
In an exclusive interview with India Today in August, Maneshinde had said that Rhea left Sushant’s home because Priyanka asked Sushant to change his medicines without a doctor’s prescription.
“In her statements to the CBI and ED said that on June 8, Priyanka had chatted with Sushant. She asked Sushant to take three different medicines without a prescription. Rhea protested as she said that he was already taking medicines prescribed by Sushant’s doctors. Rhea had an argument with Sushant regarding the same and then Sushant asked her to leave. Rhea then called her brother, Showik Chakraborty, to take her home,” he told India Today.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, during a media interaction in August, had earlier said that Rhea suffered from bouts of depression having had to handle a mentally-ill boyfriend (Sushant) and thus, left the actor’s Bandra residence on June 8.
