Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) reportedly admitted that Rhea Chakraborty took the names of Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh during her interrogation in the drug nexus case.
The investigating agency, however, has not sent any summons to them yet, ANI reported.
“The names of Sara Ali Khan, Simone Khambatta and Rakul Preet Singh have surfaced during the investigation. No summons issued to these people as of now: Narcotics Control Bureau on the questioning of actor Rhea Chakraborty, in a drug case, related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death,” tweeted ANI.
Earlier on Friday, Times Now had reported that Sara and Rakul Preet’s name had surfaced during the probe in the drug cartel.
But, the channel was slammed for airing fake news and netizens started trending #SorrySara and #SorryRakul while apologising to the stars for the rumours.
Now, the NCB’s statement had put an end to the speculation and confirmed that Sara and Rakul’s names did surface during the investigation.
