Dehradun: Not only are Team India cricketers the best-paid sportspersons in the country, they also make a fortune off the field, thanks to their popularity and status.
One of the players whose stars are shining bright is Rishabh Pant.
A much-improved wicketkeeper and a flamboyant batsman who can change the course of a game in a matter of overs, Pant is a matchwinner in all three formats of cricket.
He already endorses a number of popular brands. On Thursday, Pant was officially roped in as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand.
Felicitating Pant at Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi on Thursday, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami – who made the announcement in December — said that the way he accomplished his goal with determination and willpower, it would inspire everyone.
“Pant has made a mark in the world and brought laurels to the country and the state… Honouring him as Uttarakhand brand ambassador will inspire the youth in the field of sports in the state,” said Dhami.
Expressing his gratitude to the CM, Pant said: “Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given him an opportunity to do something for the state. The state government is working towards providing a better sports environment to the youth.”
