Berhampur: A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped at Balisahi under Polsara block in Ganjam district on Wednesday night.
According to the sources, three miscreants entered a person’s house late last night with the intention to steal. After looting the house, they took a minor girl of the family to a nearby field and allegedly gang-raped her. The family members were fast asleep at the time of the incident.
They rushed to the spot after hearing her scream for help. She was rushed to Polsara hospital and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur as her condition deteriorated.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation.
