Robbery Accused Attempts Suicide In Odisha Jail

Puri: An alleged robber attempted suicide inside a jail at Talabania in Puri district on Sunday night.

According to sources, Talabania police had arrested five robbers on Sunday. Later, one of the accused cut his hand and throat with a sharp weapon. The man was taken to the Puri Sadar hospital in a critical condition.

However, his identity was not disclosed

Police said they were yet to ascertain the circumstances under which he attempted suicide.
