Rourkela: The Rourkela Smart City Limited (RSCL) has won the Milan Pact Awards 2022.
Rourkela was selected in the Social & Economic Equity category for its practice ‘E-Cool Mandi’ at the 8th Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP) Global Forum held at Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro from October 17 to 19.
The theme was ‘Food to Feed the Climate Justice: urban food solutions for a fairer world’.
“It is a matter of great pride. I would like to congratulate our city and its people. We have again proved it on a global stage that the Rourkela Smart City can compete at international fora and win,” said Additional District Magistrate (Rourkela) and Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation, Dr Subhankar Mohapatra.
