Rs 2.35L Unaccounted Cash Seized In Balasore’s Basta

Balasore: An election flying squad seized Rs 2.35 lakh unaccounted cash from a car at Basta in Balasore district on Friday.

Sources said the squad was on a motor vehicle inspection and intercepted a car driven by Naikudi Panchayat Sarpanch’s husband. The squad recovered Rs 2.35 lakh from the vehicle during search.

Banners and posters of Lok Sabha candidate of a particular political party were also recovered.

The Sarpanch’s husband has been detained for questioning.

Further investigation is on.
