Russia Reports Over 10,500 New COVID Cases In 24 Hours

Moscow: Russia reported 10,598 new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the country’s tally to 262,843.

Also, 113 people succumbed to the virus in the country in the last 24 hours, according to Russia’s coronavirus taskforce. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has touched 2,418.

Meanwhile, around 58,226 people have recovered from the deadly infection, including 4,696 in the last 24 hours.

The country’s worst-hit region, Moscow, has reported 4,748 new cases in the past 24 hours, taking its total to 135,464.

Russia’s consumer rights and human well-being watchdog on Friday stated that 256,847 people were under observation as of Thursday.

So far, nearly 6.4 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted across the country.
