While India went crazy looking for ‘Rangoli’ stamps, Google Pay has extended the Diwali scheme till November 11.
To recap, Google Pay lets you collect each of 5 types of stamps — Jhumka, Flower, Diya, Lantern and Rangoli — on every transaction or taking a photograph of a Diwali item. Once all the 5 stamps are collected, you win Rs 251. And there is a lucky draw of Rs 1 lakh as well.
Many users reportedly could collect four stamps, but the ‘Rangoli’ one was in short supply.
Also, with rise in UPI payments scams, Google Pay announced that it will now send app as well as SMS notifications for transactions.
